Leda's Dream

Leda's Dream
Leda was a woman, seduced by Zeus, who took the form of a swan. The child born of this encounter, Helen of Troy, was said to be the most beautiful woman on earth. Swans' wings, flowers, and waves upon a beach allude to Leda's story. This beautiful stole is now available as a pattern. Complete with improved charts, directions to adjust the size, and a brand new scarf version, the directions are very thorough and lead you through the project step, by step. This project is appropriate for an adventurous beginner, but experienced knitters will find it enjoyable also. The pattern is available as a pdf download. Instructions for downloading will be sent after payment with PayPal is completed.

Pattern Details
  • All stitch patterns are charted
  • 13 pages of directions, photos, and charts
  • Directions for adjusting the size of the stole for your personal preference
  • A new pattern for a scarf variation of Leda's Dream is included
  • Stole uses approximately 1000 yards of laceweight yarn (shown in KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Smoke)

This pattern is so wonderful I needed to buy a second to share with a co-worker. Once again, thanks for such a great design.

Is this pattern charted only? I have problems with charts (learning disability) and can only do the line by line written instructions. If you offer it in a written pattern I would like to buy the pattern.
Thanks

I would like to purchase, same as another user, is it only charted or written out instructions as well? I have purchased the schehezerade pattern earlier.
thanks in advance

Melanie, I love your patterns. Is there an alternative way to pay , such as money order, cash or check?

I would like to know what the finished blocked size of Leda's Dream is? I have only 800 yards of yarn and it would help to know if I can make this shawl with less. Thank you very much.

I really wish I had known about the MS1 while it was going on. I'm signed up for MS4, but had to buy this one!

This is probably one of the most beautiful and well written patterns I have ever come across. I'm currently knitting it with a combo of Louet 14/1 Euroflax linen and Habu Silk stainless steel. It sounds funky but is really quite beautiful.

I just learned about this mystery stole and thought I would love to try it out. When and where do I sign up for the Mystery 4 stole? Thank you.

I just downloaded Leda's Dream but the chart looks like a foreign language. Where are the row numbers? I purchased and completed Shaharazade stole with no problems. Why are these symbols different in Leda's Dream?

Hi Rose, it sounds like you need to update your version of Adobe Reader. Just go to Adobe.com and download the free upgrade, install it and open the pattern file again. This needs to be updated about every 6 months to open files properly.

If you are still having problems, please email at the address on your PayPal receipt or leave your email address in the comments, otherwise I can't reply to you.
