Yesterday it did this outside.
Yesterday I did this inside.
All the details: Norwegian Skier Hat kit from Bea Ellis Knitwear, knit as the pattern directed - no changes by me (can you believe it?) I've still got to sew the cotton lining band to the hat, I just folded it up for the picture, but then it's done and Caleb can wear it.

Wow, the hat is gorgeous! Looks cold at your house. It's 19 degrees here and the wind is blowing about 35-40 MPH, so quite a frigid wind chill going on. No snow though. Have a great weekend and stay warm!
Oh goodness, that weather looks just miserable... but the hat! I swoon before it's loveliness! Drink lots of hot chocolate!

The hat is gorgeous and perfect for the weather outside.
Love the nordic hat and great idea for cotton lining. We got down to 10 degree the night but in the day it's in low 50s. Today's bright and sunny and we are going for a hike!

Hi - your work is GORGEOUS.
I purchased the Hanami pattern from you - and bought the yarn from KnitPicks (great site!!).
I'm a bit stumped on the beads for the cast-on. I'm not a beader, so not so familiar with terminology and sizing. What is the equivalent to Mill Hill Size 8? I bought some seed beeds, size 8. It seems similar to the Mill Hill 8/0, and it's about 3mm across. But no way is a crochet hook going to fit in there.
I spoke to a couple of people in bead stores and they were perplexed. Someone tried to sell me a size 8 bead that is approx 1/4 inch in diameter. I can't imaging those are on the end of this lightweight scarf.
Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated!

My outside looks like your outside! I have 6 inches of snow to blow off the driveway and it is -2 degrees F. I'm procrastinating with some blog reading and a cuppa of coffee.
I did a Bea Ellis hat for my first colorwork project. They have great customer service. Mine didn't turn out nearly as nice as yours (due to my rookie-ness with colorwork).
I've been looking all over for this pattern/chart, and haven't been able to find it! I can find the archive of it on the Bea Ellis website, but there is no longer a main site or contact to be found! Would it be possible for you to please email me a copy/picture of the chart?
