The Cherry Blossom Shawl is Back!

I've gotten back to work on the Cherry Blossom Shawl! I've done two repeats of the last stitch pattern worked in the round. I have to do 10 more. It doesn't sound like too much, but each round is almost 400 stitches so it takes a while to get around the whole shawl. (It's way to big to put on Finn's head. It's practically big enough to be his bed.)

Now that I can see what the stitch pattern looks like, and see how repeats stack up on each other, I can read my knitting and catch mistakes before I get more than a few stitches away from them.

I've already got two more lace projects lined up in my head after I finish this! I'd also like to do some designing, but I need to get a certain little man back in school so I can hear myself think - without the Spongebob Squarepants theme running through my head.

Wow, look at that - no longer it's "ugly duckling/cotton candy blob" stage. Very pretty - that should encourage you to get a row in here and there!

I love that Cherry Blossom shawl. Looking at those lace shawls that you and daughter Joy make is almost enough to make me want to grab toothpicks and start one too. ALMOST, I say. I’m not crazy and I know that the first three rows would be enough and I’d throw it to Joy and say FINISH IT!

Keep up the good work, caffeinated or not.
