White Tea

DSC04554
I've added a couple more inches to the body of White Tea. I realized this week that I really need to start my Christmas knitting, so I took a look at my current projects. White Tea is more than halfway done and for now I'll keep going on it because even though it's too big for public knitting, it's auto pilot knitting and I can work on it when I'm doing other things. The Mohair Bias Loop will stay in my handbag for public knitting. The Gray Snowbird cardi that I introduced this week (possibly yesterday? No caffeine yet this morning.) will be put on hold while I work on Christmas knitting. I won't be able to show the Christmas knitting on the blog until after Christmas, but once everyone has their gifts, I'll blog them.

What are you knitting for Christmas?

So far just a scarf that may end up being a present to myself. :) Like you, I'm realizing it's time to get busy. At the very least I want to knit something for my almost two-year-old grandson. Love baby/toddler knits - so fast!

I'm knitting a pair of beaded, cable mittens for one sister, and the matching hat for the other sister (different colors). I have some lace shawls I've started for both of them, but it's probably too close to Christmas to consider getting them finished. Charity knitting for our Guild and finishing my son-in-law's felt Christmas stocking are also on the agenda.

Hats, mitts and mittens are on my Christmas knitting list this year. Simple stuff.

I've just recently started thinking about my Christmas Gift knitting. Why do I do this every year??? Working on some "Just Enough Ruffles" scarves and some "Biscuit Blankets." I look forward to seeing your Christmas knitting.

I keep changing my mind! I got all hot about crocheting garlands, made about 5 hearts and lost interest. That's normal for me with crochet, though.

I was going to make fingerless gloves for teachers (3) and I will still do that, but now I'm thinking maybe handspun cowls for some at the in-laws since we're not going this year. I already made my mom a lacy one, but since I'm sending that one for her birthday next week, I need something else and they all have mitts from last year. More interesting since I have some time yet. Now to cast on the first mitts in the handspun from last week and let my cable sweater hibernate.

Unfortunately, I am obsessed with the cabled sweater.

I tried to comment with my condolences over your beautiful animals earlier but my computer wouldn't let me, so I'm late but have been thinking of you a lot. Hugs.

I am weaving, not knitting, but will start another hat soon --- I'm into hats on needles, lately.
