White Tea

All finished!

DSC04627
I love this sweater and really enjoyed making it. The yarn was just wonderful to work with and I think it will be just as wonderful to wear! The pattern is Tea Leaves Cardigan by Melissa LeBarre for Madelinetosh yarns. I used Berocco Ultra Alpaca in Winter White to knit it. The pattern calls for two buttons, but I had three buttons from Annie Adams, so I used all three and I like the way it looks. (I used the Nova buttons and they're 3/4 inch across. I think this is what she calls the small size.) The design is simple, and in the creamy, white yarn, it definitely works with a fancy button.

This will be my final finished cardigan for 2010 but I'm trying to finish up a couple of other things also before the year ends!

What a beautiful sweater! If I were a sweater wearer and if I were a sweater knitter, I would be tempted. Until either of those happen (not likely), I'll drool over yours ... and not get drool on it because it's so far away!

Have a happy new year!

It certainly looks like a "go-to" cardigan - well done!

Very pretty! And I love the buttons -- you were right to use all three, they just gleam against the white yarn.

I am even more impressed that you can wear white without it immediately becoming a spills-of-all-types magnet!
